Latest radar loops gives the appearance that storms are trying to wrap around and it does look like there is a northern component to the radar.

Indeed Aric though the HWRF suggests this is just a short term motion and it gets back onto a westerly motion again.

Center has really become detached from the convection now. It appears to be drifting northward and weakening.

Do you still think that it will be a TD or TS?

Take a look at this shot. It may be finally dying. Its only "hope" now may be if the center could somehow reform near or under that convection to the southwest.

Yeah and I think the NHC noticed that was happening, actually if you looked back about 2hrs ago you could see the shear increasing back then so not surprising its suffering again.

Can you believe it's (the little LLC) heading due North maybe even a tad east of due north. Seems I remember a couple models calling for that yesterday that most of us discounted.

Every system is a learning experience and there were certainly some here. Even when not obvious I think every system/environment becomes part of one's pattern recognition. One needs to learn what kind of systems do not develop as well as which ones do. There's some interesting research on this topic in the world of chess - subconscious pattern recognition. Apology for going off topic a bit.

Chances of this developing into a TC are fading....shear and hitting land soon are gonna hold this one up...hope the trend continues the remainder of the season.......MGC

It seems this is just looping all over the place with no sense of direction at all.
