Its got a tight little spin on it now. Different from that massive pre-Yucatan whirl. Getting down to business, imo.

Can someone provide me with a link for the degree headings and their associated directions? I can't find what I am looking for while searching online. Thanks!

This is not a forecast I'm checking to see if I understand this correctly.

The trough coming towards the Gulf From Texas may push alex towards N/NE. If Alex does a RI it may get pulled by ULL that is over LA which is travelling ENE. Which then may head alex towards oil spill?

The pressures are ridiculously low. I remember that Wilma was 50 mph with a pressure of 989 mb. wow

hey yall, novice here, trying to learn as much as I can. If my terms are not meterologically correct don't kill me. This is the question that I have. Will the low that is currently off Puerto Rico play a major role in the track/development of Alex? To me, it looks like it is "crunching" the high pressure or whatever it is off the coast of Florida. I might be seeing something though that isn't there, like i said i'm a novice

Not a major player at all right now. It will most likely move northwest and then north, having little effect on the Gulf. But the 00Z model runs, which will be available shortly, will give us a better idea.

Does anyone remember the storm several years ago that went from a Tropical Storm to a Cat 3 Hurricane in like 24 hours or something like that. I remember the storm but can't remember the name. I think Alex may try his hand at some RI as it moves away from the Yucatan.
Thanks in advance,
Tim
