Yeah CZ its 6.25am here!

I'm getting one last little fix as I'll probably gone for the next 48hrs or so, just when all the action is happening...as per normal!

It just occurred to me, ITOP started this week. I think the Hurricane Hunters should be in Guam and we might get some real interesting data...time to dig up their bulletin information.

Nice! The last time we had WPac recon in 2008 for T-PARC they found Cat 5 Jangmi. Let's hope they fly a few missions.

Husband just got back from the commissary and said it was packed. Apparently people are getting word of it...and restocking all the typhoon supplies they've been eating when too busy to make a grocery run...kind of like us! :)

If we're going to get hit - I say bring it on before he deploys so I don't have to face it alone. It's hot and muggy out there. Sure the afternoon heat will contribute to the intensification...or it will just fall apart like everything else has and I'll be all geared up for nothing again.

JMA estimating winds are about 50 mph with gusts to 70 mph right now, but that's right now. We'll probably get a Category 1 out of this. I've got friends saying, "Yeah, no big deal..." but I've never experienced a direct hit from a Cat 1 so that's something to me! Things did get pretty hairy last year when Melor went by...It was a category 4, pretty far off shore and still was enough to do a little damage. Being safe and doing a clean up anyway.

WHile it may not be a big storm 80-100 mph winds which we will prolly get tomorrow for someone who never experienced is hair raising. Ive been through only 1 typhoon/Hurricane and it had 90-110 mph winds so im guessing ill see about teh same stuff and let me tell you that can still do some damage. Its still a big deal

4 am Tuesday morning Japan time is the CPA according to that, as a 65 kt typhoon. Wonder if Typhoon Hunter's going to try to get into Okinawa tomorrow?
