New york EMC better hope it weakens because Really Not many people there take it seriously. It will be a bad day if a million people dont listen and have Towers breaking and thousands drown because they are to confident they can beat mother nature.

Wow. Looks like the models have really shifted. You guys think the odds of it hitting Nova Scotia have decreased?

Too early to say. Who knows what these storms will do on the "way out"

I guess looking at the models, there is a good chance it will make landfall somewhere, it is just a matter of where.

I think finally after a long and depressing few years....we are leaning back towards a slower, more classic style hurricane season. JB will nail it because the synoptic patterns that are so firm in a late August pattern we are seeing, the storms have the best chance to make it to the East Coast. I have seen several analog years that suggest that not only is this the case, but the GOM Louisiana eastward have seen big hurricane impacts. I believe even seeing a Texas impact in an analog year.

Point being: the La Nina I have been foreseeing is almost here. It may not be super favorable explosive always but remember, weather does not have a memory.

Hey Rock, just a heads up, I think KWT is in bed by now, being he's in the UK....He usually doesn't post this time of night.....
I can speak for myself though. If this were to hit the East Coast, not only would I humbly eat my plate of crow, but I'd never ever
call for a 100% chance of a recurve again.....
