Where is it? Tempertures across WPAC are certainly high so am hoping this is the start of the season and they come thick and fast!

Well its been a slow start in the WPAC, I can't imagine it can last much longer before we finally get a system out there. The fact the EPAC is 2 systems ahead at this stage is quite impressive.

All the wind shear is behind this one to the west and near mainland Japan and the temperatures are up. It's got a pocket to develop in. I wouldn't be surprised to see things start picking up around here...especially after the shear to the west dissipates.

It's too near land.......won't this affect it's development?

That's what I would think...but I'm no expert. Unless it followed a slightly poleward route going northeast? If that were the case, I'd think it would have the chance to develop more until it hit shear up above Okinawa. Again, I'm no expert...but hey! Something to keep me occupied watching for a few days!

Me too...It's been a while since we saw a legit system in the WPAC....

Not too much, unless it makes landfall but if it stays offshore it will be able to intensify (if wind shear is low).

Another invest in the WPAC bites the dust. What is going on in that basin that no Cyclones have formed since the Mid-March storm?
