MODERATE TROPICAL STORM FYTIA


Estimated maximum wind speeds (averaged over 10 minutes) at sea: 75 km/h.

Estimated maximum gusts at sea: 100 km/h.

Estimated pressure at the center: 996 hPa.

Position on February 4 at 04: 23.7 South / 54.8 East.

Distance from the coast of Réunion: 270 km to the SOUTH-SOUTHWEST sector

Distance from Mayotte: 1570 km to the SOUTH-EAST sector

Movement: QUASI-STATIONARY, at 4 km/h.

System information:

- FYTIA continues to weaken but slows its movement remaining south of Reunion Island.

- This Wednesday, FYTIA will be in a very weakened state as it resumes its journey towards the southeast. By Thursday or Friday, Fytia will disappear, merging with the traffic further south.
