Pressure continues to decrease ever so slowly; indicative that Beryl continues to intensify. However, will the NHC make the jump to 65kts in the 8p.m advisory?

Honestly I haven't seen anything from recon that would justify an upgrade. Looks to be a strong tropical storm.

Interesting point...but in reality, folks should take a tropical storm warning serious too...even when the forecast was for a 55mph storm or so....that means gusts to near hurricane force esp on the immediate coast. Sustained 55 mph winds bring down limbs, some trees, power lines, etc. As Bryan Norcross said years ago on the weather report here on the local news, 'once you start getting winds sustained...not gusting...in the 40-50-60 mph range, things start happening.'

On a side note, TWC devoted only 4 minutes to Beryl at 7:30. Interesting.

Thats one of the crossbeam structures. They made the pier well built this time. Floyd took the old one out in 1999.

The center has pretty much passed the west wall of the GS. From here on out, in what little time it has left over the ocean, the shelf water underneath the center gets progressively cooler and shallower, meaning it contains less and less upper oceanic heat content. We'll see whether or not the winds/SLP remain steady state up until landfall.
