I didn't find anything about that nuclear warning, outside of the tweet. Assuming, for now, it is false.

Saw this on Jersey Shore Hurricane Facebook page--
#njsandy ***URGENT: MANASQUAN*** Peggy shares: "From Borough of Manasquan.

NOTICE REGARDING SEWER SERVICE

We just received notice from South Monmouth Regional Sewage Authority
(SMRSA) that their 9 pump stations located throughout South Monmouth County are flooded and inaccessible. With the pump station down and inaccessible, sewerage cannot be received by them. This will cause backups in your sewerage line and into your home. Please avoid using your water, sink, toilets and bathtubs as best as possible. Once the flooding recedes they will be able to get to the pump stations and make them operable.

Please do not tie the police department phone line or public works lines with questions regarding sewer backups. At this time, until the South Monmouth Regional Sewage Authority (SMRSA) gains access, no municipality can address this issue.

Once we receive new information, we will post this here."

I don't want to sound Pollyannaish, but I hope that out of a tragedy like this something good will come. I hope we understand we're one family.

NOT NUCLEAR, just a flood:

"Authorities in Hyndman, Bedford County, ordered all residents east of the railroad tracks to evacuate after nearby Wills Creek rose 9 feet in 90 minutes, county Emergency Management Director Dave Cubbison said. Flooding there appears increasingly likely, he said."

TWC reported on this as well, said it came from a NWS office.

The Battery water levels. You can see the surge peak just after high tide. Bad timing!

That Twitter account affixed Nuclear Warning for hype and to cause confusion.

We're really seeing the pluses and minuses of social media tonight.
Lots of fast info.
But Lots of FALSE info too...

It's amazing how different this thread is to threads from other storms, like Wilma, IKE, Katrina...

That's interesting because CNN just stated that they DIDN'T report this unlike TWC.

Not true I've been watching them all night and they did say that. They were talking to their reporter in Battery Park and she was commenting about how much time she spent on the stock exchange floor in the past and that's it's basically wood floors smh!

They lied.
