You might be looking at old data. A new burst still happening.

that's what he means by cooled cloud tops...higher clouds=colder tops.

looking at Key West radar...this thing as slowed way down and it doesnt look NW to me...

it was 298 per my last calculation from the vdm from recon. ( 303 is considered nw)

Absolutely incredible amounts of rain coming down in Northern Palm Beach County the past half hour. I haven't seen it like this is a long time.

with the center so broad and diffuse i don't think radar is the best way to discern short term motion.

I'll defer to you on movement as I couldn't tell a VDM from an ATM, but NHC does mention that the storm has moved left of forecast points.

Any forecasts under my name are to be taken with a grain of salt. Get your best forecasts from the National Weather Service and National Hurricane Center.
