I maybe wrong though.

It's a LOT further NW of the old center...by about 60-70 miles. It's a short term motion of about 30 mph. The LLC just got sucked up...

Ah, I see. Somebody said NE and it got me confused.

That was me. I meant NW.

I'm still somewhat skeptical given the storm's history, as to whether this is a genuine relocation or of the center is just rotating around in there. We'll see in the next few hours if the convection flares down or actually rotates around the center...

Does the coordinates reflect the relocation on the new advisory?

First the pressure drop then the windspeed increases so if this relocation is a go and Issac is fully stacked in shortly then we should see winds pick up in a bit. How long will recon be out there?

Looks funny...you can see the center jumped on the Nhc graphics. It actually jump to northeast edge barely out of the cone.

I am wondering the same thing and I know at least one met that is still trying to figure that out. I'm leaning towards a smaller version of what we saw previously with multiple "centers" rotating around a broad center, now apparently all hidden under the cdo.

I would go along with that. but the wind field recon showed on the way to the new location was exactly how it should be. so unlikely there is a second vort.

The NHC center track in there graphic actually moved a little west. I am somewhat surprised at this due to the center re-location. I would think they would have kept it the same until a more certain direction of movement was ascertained. :double:

So does this affect track? NHC still has it heading towards us in Louisiana.

REALLY? Oh man... what crappy timing for the flight to be over! Was really hoping they'd take a few more passes at least. When is the next mission scheduled?

What are the strongest winds they found?

Interesting buoy to monitor over the coming hours.

2AM EST NHC track is the same as the 11PM EST graphic. NHC won't issue a new track graphic until 5AM EST. New track graphics are not issued on intermediate advisories, just on complete advisories.
