The Mediterranean Cyclone Heike 982Hpa, acquired warm core and some tropical caracteristic just over Tuscany coast.
The little storm circulation have tunderstorm activity in the center, unfortunately is for destination 'on the ground.
Strong wind and Heavy precipitation over Latium, Tuscany, Elba and Giglio islands.
In the spiral cloud of this storm a intense tornado damage the city of Taranto (Puglia), yesterday.

Yeah that does look like a subtropical or tropical cyclone.
