Yup. The trough wasn't able to lift it out and then as the ridge builds in to the north, the system is forced west. The lack of motion for over a day shows how delicate of a forecast this is. Imagine a ball on a hill: it sits there until it is nudged one way or the other. In this case we have either a westward solution into FL, or the trough is able to lift out to the NE. Which way will this system be nudged? The $$$$$ question.
