Pressure is still dropping but looks like the winds haven't wound up to the pressure yet. Recon finding 85 knots fl and 67 knots SFMR this last pass.

actually, they posted tropical storm warnings and watches for some of the 2nd row counties yesterday, I believe including duplin and jones.

With Duplin County being an inland county, they did not have any watches or warnings issued. Those only went out to the coastal counties.[/quote]

The Frying Pan Shoals Lighthouse. It is a decommissioned Coast Guard light house and monitoring station. It still has some active sensors on it, and was recently purchased to be converted to a bed and breakfast.

Rose Hill Fire Department is confirming tornado damage in Duplin County NC. This was from the warned storm about an hour ago.

NHC goes with a min pressure of 979 as well...I thought there were readings quite a bit lower?
