What is extrapolated, I don't mean to sound stupid, but, I really have a taste in learning.

Was it perfectly calm or was there a breeze still?

Dead calm, i was gonna post a radar screenshot showing my location but it's a pain in the butt on this phone.

pretty cool man! I've experienced many hurricanes, but never the dead calm of a well formed eye! A definite bucket list addition!

Frances and Wilma was dead calm during the eye... Wilma sun was out, birds chirping, etc... Jeanne was the strongest, but very windy/unstable in the eye... Not sure why?? It's a very unique experience, it's always seems to be at night... What's Arthur's eye like?

Keep in mind, going over the barrier islands occasionally, and shallow water, the SFMR is going to give invalid readings occasionally, even though they are not noted as suspect.

Are they going to investigate the SE quad? It's still looking pretty intense and there isn't any land to interfere with it.

Ok hopefully this works. Middle of the blue crosshairs was my location when I got the 976mb reading.

That's the quadrant they have pass twice already since the northern quadrant was briefly over land (now over the sound).

As someone who has been in the eye a couple times, it is dead calm. It really is an eerie calm. You just went through hours of horrendous noise, and then nothing. the rain stops, the wind stops, and you can look up and see the stars or the clear blue sky. Then 20 minutes later, the noise and rain come back.

Skated by this one, big nothing for me here in New Bern. A bit gusty right now but virtually no rain, low wind all night. Even maintained a perfect dish signal all night too, remarkable!

Prayers to all in Arthur's path, good night y'all.

Those in-house models I've seen this week on the local stations nailed Arthur's inland track perfectly.

For those interested:

Mark Sudduth will be deploying a drifting surge cam here in the next couple minutes, and I think they're going to show the deployment on TWC.
