I'm guessing it won't be classified as a TD but we'll see.

Good catch weatherwatcher98. Appeared that way on VIS SAT and this data confirmed that. GFS had predicted a small window of less hostile conditions in the SE GOM.

Getting some fanning out of high cirrus over the convection in the SE GOM - hints at a small anticyclone. The low pressure is probably too far west to take advantage of that however.

Looks like it has merged with the upper-level trof. The weak vortex has dissipated. Development chances are just about zero now. Just some rain for Florida & Georgia.

The vorticity off of the TX coast under the ULL looks to be taking over as the dominant feature.

Nothing for SE Alabama now then? We could really use the rain. It's done nothing but drizzle.

Hmmmm.... Buoy west of Naples turns to a west wind, although weak! That position is about exactly where that Vortex went into the convection.

guys because its close to home thats why, lets just be realistic here the most we can get out of this is a weak weak weak trop storm but this will just be rain, so just deal with it, I don't know why people get bad when they say something isn't going to develop, the thing looks like a sheared mess......lets just all use common sense here.....everyone should get along let hope florida doesn't get to much rain with the recent floods

Noticed where the low pressure has migrated too some high cirrus is now getting blow off to the W-NW. This hints that a small anticyclone has formed over the SE GOM just to its east.

Just my opinion but no closed LLC here no E,NE,N or NW winds in Eastern Gulf looking at buoy reports. We do have the wind shift to West at buoy 42003 in last hour.
Just looks like area of elongated vorticity moving NNE.
