Kinda looks that way on radar on the northern most side... but the convection rapidly building on the east side could very well close it up soon... impressive regardless.

Looks more like a gulf system you would see in Late October, rather than early September.

It actually looks better than I thought it was going to look like, moldels were forecasting 20-30 knot wind shear over it, many of us thought it was going to be one ugly looking tropical storm and many thought the HWRF and Euro were crazy.

Here in St Pete, have water up to mid thigh in the street in front of my house. This last band that just came thru packed some pretty good winds and high rates of rainfall.

What part of St Pete?
