Just heard them say that the waves and surges in Galveston shouldn't get worse, I think it is way too early to say that with a possibility of this staying at or near the coast for almost a week, that would cause tides, surges and waves to build up the whole time.

The wobble that made Harvey's eyewall hit Rockport directly provided the hurricane with more time over water and slow down before landfall. Sure CC is avoided the eyewall, and that's good, but still, I feel for Jeff, ICyclone and the many other storm chasers out there.

Really hoping this doesn't become the El Reno of Hurricane chasers.

GOES-16 ADT still has Harvey maintaining a warm medium grey eye on the BD IR curve of about 15ºC.

What's that?

The El Reno tornado in 2013 was the first time storm chasers actually died from a tornado while chasing. It killed even professional scientific chasers like Tim Samaras.
