Updated Tropical Cyclone Outlook for the Northern Region, including the Gulf of Carpentaria

Existing Cyclones in the Northern Region:

Potential Cyclones:
At 6:30am CST Saturday 11 February, a tropical low was located on the southwest Gulf of Carpentaria coast, about 10 kilometres east of Port McArthur. The tropical low is expected to move westwards across the base of the Top End during Saturday and Sunday, bringing heavy rain and damaging winds - refer to the latest Severe Weather Warning for further details [www.bom.gov.au/nt/warnings]. By Monday, the tropical low will be located near the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf.
