That corresponds to 137kt at the surface. We could see landfall analyzed as a CAT5 when the SFMR readings are collaborated

Wow, that was just plain frightening to watch. I pray they are OK, but that did not look good at all. It looked grim

That video if it survives may go down as the most terrifying hurricane related video ever recorded. Charley's landfall and Katrina's surge are up there but... just... this is terrifying.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

It looks like the car is submerged, although I actually think it isn't. But it is spinning around....
It is turned. When you could see for a brief moment the camera was facing the other way, looking at that door under the rear deck of the house. It was parked facing the street (and coast).
But there were no longer in the vehicle, right?
Correct. They got out and sounded like they were going to try and get into top level of the house above the wall. Still might not matter.

This is an historic event, I feel the same way as I felt during Haiyan, Patricia, Maria, Irma and Harvey. I'm stunned by the beauty of this beasts yet I feel scared for the damage they will cause.

Plenty of 140-150kts at flight level right now. Amazing, enough to justify 135kts, outside chance of 140kts depending on winds sound.
920mbs pressure recorded at the airforce base!

I don't think Mexico Beach is going to fully get in the eye, they may stay in the southern eyewall for MORE of this insanity for the next half hour or more

I bet NHC is in hot debate right now on whether to assign landfall intensity as CAT5

Adair's feed is still broadcasting. A couple minutes ago I could hear water getting into the car.

if by some chance the house were to structurally survive the wind, still have the surge.

The stream is still running for me. The car is currently slammed up against a building or a pier or something, possibly on its side.
