City of Puerto Cabezas(population 60K) is in the ground zero of projected landfall. Hurricane Felix hit the area 13 years ago and killed around 100 people there.

The strongest winds are likely in the northern eyewall for a due west moving system. Unlikely that recon is going to capture them if doing only 2 passes each mission.

Hi. "This kid" here. What issue do you have with my post? The microwave pass is suggestive of an EWRC sooner rather than later. That doesn't mean it's a certainty, the band could break down or be slower to congeal into a solidified secondary eyewall. These things are hard to predict. Iota will be a very strong storm at landfall regardless.

12 hrs later, no signs of EWRC.
First it has to peak, and the eye start to contract before we start talking about about EWRC.
