Well maybe...
...but there's certainly more on the table than a guaranteed "into CA and die or cross into the EPAC" like some were insisting on a couple days ago.

Let's see if Eta lives up to the hype.
15 years after Wilma, 5 years after Patricia, in about an hour and a half will Eta be the strongest hurricane in the NHC's AOR? Stay tuned...

But once it gets close, it will be time to strap EVERYTHING down tight since it will be a very rough ride.
I’m just going to keep refreshing the meso sector imagery every 30 seconds until I go insane. Much better use of time.

Depending on whether Eta has continued its 4.2 mb/hr deepening or has “stair-stepped” like Delta, it’ll probably be anywhere from 930 mbar at the max to 900 mbar at the minimum once recon arrives at ~02z.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

Not me of course!
That reminds me, I should probably work on my chemistry lab report while I wait.
And me working on homework, but this is off-topic.
Let's wait & see on Recon

I don't normally follow the progress while far from the storm, but it makes sense here. Also trying to post how many miles (rounded to the nearest 5 miles) it is.

The only complaints I have in regards to Eta, is that the ESE quadrant looks off compared to the previous beasts that it is being compared too and their picture perfect presentations.

I really don't know, do you think that Recon will go into Eta before landfall?

Well you don't get a super typhoon in the Atlantic very often. It's hard not to watch.

I tracked Patricia but not the recon. So this is pretty much the most anticipated mission for me...
