ATL: SALLY - Post-Tropical - Discussion

We should start seeing a northeast movement shortly with Sally. I’ve noticed storms and more moderate rain being allowed to enter the Nature Coast and Tampa Bay in the last couple hours, should mean the door is opening for it to start the process of heading out tonight into the morning.

I am already seeing some NE movement. It could be my eyes.

Yep...sitting at 6.5" on Deerpoint Lake in Bay County and coming down at a pretty good clip. Wind has appreciably increased in the last couple hours as well...

Yeah pretty crazy how we thought NOLA was going to get the worst of it and now it's likely going much east and into the Florida Panhandle.

Looks like another night storm at landfall, I think another 9 hours it’s moving onshore near you... JMHO

The eye is starting to pop out on visible, although the sun is about to set. More hot towers are starting to fire in the N and NE quadrants.

SW quadrant is much stronger with 60-65 kt FL and nearly 70 kt SFMR winds.

Wow. That is an appreciable increase in winds and they haven't even dove through the center yet.

Ivan,that's the $100 question we all have. I'm on Ft. Morgan Rd and am waiting on closest point of approach myself. I suspect you will get worse than me with you being in line to set the right eyewall.
