Note: If I make a post that is brief. Please refer back to previous posts for the analysis or reasoning. I do not re-write/qoute what my initial post said each time.

I am watching that east tower.
Looks like it maybe firing off a feeder band.
If a feeder band is there, it could have some profound consequences.
It could mean its pulling moisture out of the BoT across the IoT.
What that implies is that it is cutting off from the CAG.
If 03 rapidly deepens, that could likely be the case.
Current steering is for a stronger TC to move north more quickly.

Checking in from League City, TX in Galveston County. Its been awhile but here we go.........the tropics watch continues onward. So many unknowns at this point but I expect this to become TS Cristobal today. Hopefully we do not have TS Cristobal in the Central GOM early Saturday morning at 65MPH with many models pointing toward the Upper TX Coast and SW LA. Hopefully by Thursday we will have a much better idea but we may not........a tough forecast week ahead.

Winds picking up at the BoC buoy.
Gusting to 33 knots.
Pretty far away.
Good chance this is a TS.

Definitely agree this is a TS. Might even be 40 knots.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Not an meteorologist! Just someone who is interested in weather. Please refer to the NHC and local weather officials to make decisions.

Nice work Gcane love those images off Ramdis site. CDO is expanding now, maybe drifting Sw now also. BoC can really wrap a weak system up if the conditions are right.

A large Theta-E ridge is rapidly building over this.
Centered to the NE and takes up a large portion of the southern GOM.
Explains why this is rapidly developing.
Any move to the NE and this will likely develop more.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

If this stays offshore, watch out. An already well developed system will pose a greater threat than something still getting its act together (like the GFS shows) as it leaves the BOC.

Will be the earliest C-name, but does anyone know the stats on earliest Bay of Campeche and GOM storms?
