It looks like one of those strong nor'easter storms that ride up the coast and dump feet of snow on New England (of course not doing that here)

It's still relatively calm in Key West, NNE wind at 12 kts. If it stays north we may not see winds above 20kts until Eta is west of us.

The dry air and shear has made this a very lopsided system. So far the GFS and Canadian have nailed the short term forecast.

my sailor friends in key largo report mucho surge and rains and are wading between boats on docks fixing and readjusting what needs to be done... i have only been sporadically following this dronken storm that has been befuddling my fiends... they just want this season over with.
each time i see a prognosticated pathway for this to track itis dronker than before, almost likesome sailors i have seen tryingto handle a boat under the influence/
someone please give eta a dui and send it home

26 storms later, I think all that could be said has been said!

Other than just "observing," what else is there?

Dolphins still on TV... :D

Tua carrying us through this drenchy day. It's been solidly stormy for the past couple hours as well in Sunrise. Street submerged. And we still have the gustiest bands to go overnight. Drenched soil and floating objects from the floating is going to make the wind's job easier. And then another half-day of moderate weather after as we go through the back half of this.

Even from "across the state," looking at the radar, it looks like Sunrise was getting all the "training' bands of weather. I have no doubt there's flooding.

NE Ft Lauderdale, unless you're east of Fed. Hwy, I'm surprised of flooding.

But, then again, you've had a lot of rain....

If eta starts that hard left soon, it probably will keep us in se fl under the dirty side through the overnight hours given the structure

I think my area in SW Florida will get lots of the energy streaming in from north of center of Eta.

I think Broward and Palm Beach got the brunt of Eta! I'm in the Cutler Bay/Goulds area of Miami and have really had no more than what we get in a typical thunderstorm! I drained my pool about a 1/2 foot, and I might have gotten an inch and a half of rain thus far...ST

Hot towers firing on a band between Andros and Bimini. Probably the strongest bands of the storm currently. Slowly moving toward Broward.
