Him and the NatGeo guy just got into it because the NatGeo guy wants shots for the show they are shooting and Reed is just having fun.

Landfalling at Cameron right now. Holly Beach at west end of eye. Creole at the east end. Abrams and Cantore are blowing around in 90-100 mph gusts in Lake Charles.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I choose to think of it as "Jeff is overplaying it for dramatic effect" and "Reed is letting the footage speak for itself".
Jeff consistently has some of the best footage, but I think he talks way too much. It distracts from the spectacle.

Still looks like there's some power in downtown Lake Charles (from Jeff's YouTube feed, at least). That's amazing...

Eye diameter from radar looks to be circular and 25 miles.

I tire of seeing his ipad though.

Reed Timmer FB is still up
Yeah I hope he gets to a parking garage before the storm surge comes in, there will probably not be much warning before it starts pouring in.

Recon just went in center for the last time. FL, SDMR, and MSLP have all held about the same.

OK, but right now Reed's footage seems to consist of watching the traffic lights change. I suppose that's a form of spectacle. Meanwhile, Jeff is reporting the NWS saying 130+ winds about to arrive. I do have Reed muted, though.
I say that about Reed, and he decides to move. Haha.

Laura's probably conserving a lot of her energy over the low altitude and storm surge

NHC waiting on recon to call landfall. It is clearly halfway across.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.
Re: ATL: LAURA - Hurricane - Discussion
So far Laura is holding up impressively, no signs of visible degradation aside from a slight warming of the SE convection
