I'd say hilariously over-dramatic, but yeah. That said, I'm sure we'd all be pretty amped up in that situation.

It’s remarkable to note just how similar this storm has been to Michael (2018). Even structurally, Laura intensified right up until landfall, with the eye contracting, and just as in Michael the western eyewall has yielded some of the strongest radar returns. The storms even appear somewhat similar on satellite imagery. Both made or are making landfall either as low-end Category-5 cyclones or borderline Cat-4/-5 systems at the very least. Data from reconnaissance and radar are similar. Both may end up being upgraded to Cat-5 status during posthumous analysis. Both may also end up being operationally analysed at 135 knots around the time of landfall, only to be upgraded to 140 knots after the fact, based on the aircraft and radar data as well as the fact that the strongest winds are likely to be missed, especially as the RMW moves ashore.

LMAO.. It is funny to see him in that. However this is deadly serious. But, at least he came prepared to battte the elements as you would expect from him.
But, he and his crew really.are out of theirr minds bring out there in 130.mph winds.

Cantore's audio really good considering he's standing in probably tropical storm force winds (at least).

When's the last time there was lightning in the eyewall during a landfall?

No signs of real degradation yet. As if the area it hit was a body of water.

Look at how similar Laura is to Michael:

Additionally, just like Michael, Laura is holding its own even after landfall.
