NOOOO!! I think it's a HURRICANE! Look at the spiral banding into the eye! Needs an immediate upgrade!

I'm trying reverse psychology. I estimate it's now a Cat 3 with 105 kt winds.

just waking up..
I see we have a happy little sheared TC pulsing convection.. as expected.. probably will do this for awhile.

Actually, its easy to see its in much more unstable air today.
Cumulus building quickly in the swirl and over PR and Hispaniola as well.
Convection to the NE of the swirl is pulling in as well.
Won't be the first time I see a naked swirl get dressed.

A happy little sheared TC...seems like an oxymoron.

Looks like its a hair north of 20N 65W
Way, way south of the forecast track.
I would say its moving nearly due west.
That means it avoids the major portion of the forecasted shear due to the TUTT shredder UL Jet.
Stay tuned.

She is on life support, there is no debate about that. Models did a good job predicting her demise.

Colors of lost purpose on the canvas of irrelevance
Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

I wager she's probably dressed for late afternoon / evening cocktails.
Pretty strong lightning firing just to the NE.

Well, Joe was forecasted to die days ago, like last week, but still. She’s a fighter. I’m still keeping an eye on it until she’s no more

Actually no, the demise in shear was going to happen. But the placement of the low is hundreds of miles off. It seems like the heavily sheared convection is close enough to keep it going for a while as it gets into a slightly moister environment. It does not look Bermuda bound

Being on life support doesn't equal death. Model chickens ought not be counted till hatched.

The shear in the southern Bahamas didn't look too bad yesterday when the CMC model insisted a 1012 TD would cross South Florida and ruin WXman57's vacation. The pressure profile is flattening as we speak so if this doesn't get out of the shear in the next 48 hours its likely to open up into a wave anyways.

Looks like an outflow boundary just hit the swirl.
