If Zeta strikes the U.S. as a hurricane, it'd be the sixth after Hanna, Isaias, Laura, Sally and Delta. Plus, just think, at one point it looked like Cristobal, Marco and Beta would have been hurricanes as well.

Five Louisiana landfalls would be an all time record and six US hurricane landfalls would be the most since I think 1985 (a season which took until late November to see its sixth) which itself was the most since 1886. Pretty jaw dropping.

According to a tweet I read earlier,2020 is currently tied with 2002 with 4 Louisiana landfalls.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Pressure hasn’t gone down since the last recon flight, but Zeta is WAY better organized, with the LLC well within the expanding CDO and hot towers.
