Re: ATL: LARRY - Hurricane - Discussion
It looks like Larry might be finally getting close to completing extratropical transition. I’m surprised how long the convective structure has held together over the cold waters. The upper troposphere must be absolutely frigid to support the convection for that long over those waters!

I think I can say, per the latest NHC advisory, Larry is officially post-tropical. This seemed like an Igor repeated.

I really don't think Larry (like Igor...) should be retired though.

We just departed Iceland a week ago and thy are predicting gale force winds early this week, up to 1000km/hr. I wonder if this is the remnants of Larry?

yes probably. 100km is decent mid ts strength.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.
Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

Yes I think it's related to Larry and either way I would think that 1000 km/h is worthy of hurricane status
