Did some quick preps around here…gutters and drainage cleared and clean. Hopefully a minor rain event with some squally weather.
Waiting and watching north side of Galveston East Bay.

48H 14/1200Z 28.2N 96.5W 55 KT 65 MPH

This is getting too close for me. Canceled plans for today and going to have a sore butt from reading all y'alls posts :D Also lucked out and went shopping yesterday.

Just got back from the store myself. Glad that’s out of the way. Already stuff flying off the shelves

That heavy convection to its north is going to create an anticyclone that'll track into.

The low cloud movement observed on visibility satellite suggests a tighter circulation is coming together fairly quickly around 21N 95W.

Man, this tropical storm that's forecasted might bring some seriously flooding rains...Look how it just crawls between Tuesday and Thursday.... Yikes!!!

Nope. Seems well-behaved. NHC put their track directly on top of ours. My hair is as intact as it was yesterday.

Both GFS & EC have strong west wind across the upper TX coast (aloft) Tuesday. Drives the precip well east of the center into Louisiana on Tuesday. See the RH graphic on Levi's page:

I just hope there's enough Texas dry air to keep the intensity bottled up. The rain is a whole nother story.

As with everyone here, it wouldnt shock me to see this quickly ramp up to a minimal cat 1 before weakening again. The gulf is a hurricane machine
