Based on what Recon is finding it does look like it is traveling just south of due west.

Models seem to be shifting a decent bit north this morning. Maybe this will hit more near Melbourne?

Based on that radar if that is an eye feature closing off, Nicole is just S of the NHC track.

It started coming into the range of the West Palm Beach Terminal Doppler Radar (TDWR) a few hours ago. I've tried to find a real-time long range loop for TPBI before, but no luck so far.

Looks Nicole is in a little bit of a sweet spot as far as shear is concerned. Not perfect but not terrible either.

Can both of these be true?

Wouldn't it be true that the further south it travels before making landfall, the further south landfall would be? Or is the front expected to pick it up and "whip" it northward sooner rather than later?

Can you send us the best radar link to watch Nicole into FL? I’m thinking NWS Melbourne has something top shelf?? 8-)

Highly unlikely. Stuart up to Fort Pierce is under the gun.

Honestly, the best page I've found is Mark NIssenbaum's page (FSU). There are better apps out there, but this page is fine for most people.
