Whats the NOAA2 mission that just took off?

Re: EPAC: AGATHA - Hurricane
I think Agatha is about to have a Delta-esqe collapse. It has been struggling to clear its eye despite a very powerful core, and its IR presentation has been stagnant for hours. It’s also moving into slightly higher shear that could rip apart the already slightly oblong core.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

No clue. It's over Nebraska and heading north, I doubt it's flying to Agatha

Effective shear will decrease through tomorrow as the cyclone picks up speed in a direction aligned with the shear vector. Doesn't mean a core collapse is impossible. Just putting it out there.

They did find hail though, which is pretty uncommon. I think that happened in 2020 with Eta or Iota (can't remember which)

The effects of shear are becoming more and more apparent with each passing hour. It won’t be long before parts of the circulation become exposed, looking at how bare half of the storm is.

I doubt that. That would take a lot to expose such a vigorous core.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.
Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

Re: EPAC: AGATHA - Hurricane
The core seems to be maintaining its spin but the outer blob definitely seems to be getting sheared away, can't tell if it's weakening or not tbh

Seems there was some improvement in the core but not much
