Franklin just made a west wobble on satellite, is that a sign of an EWRC or characteristic of its intensity?

That is a perfect circle, no sign of ewrc yet imo, likely just a wobble,.and he looks to be peaking right now

Also at a really good timing too for Recon, hopefully

This will be one of the more exciting recon passes in the Atlantic basin over the last few years. Very possible they find a Category 5 with Franklin.

I think Recon will find Franklin as an upper Cat 4. Around either 130 or 135 kts. Pressure near 930 mb.

It looks like a pressure in the 910s or lower. This could be something special. Winds don't support cat 5 yet though.

930mb with 115 knot SFMR on the weaker quadrant... pressures likely in the low 910s.

This is the so called safe quadrant. Wait for the NE side.

Noticed that there is no double peak wind, so no EWRC so far.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

OML this is cool. Gotta share some excitement with y’all, always love these fish storms. Especially if we can get a solid cat 5.
