Re: ATL: INVEST 93L - Discussion
80% in 48 hours seems low for a system that already meets all the criteria and has since early afternoon.

Re: ATL: INVEST 93L - Discussion
Surprised they haven't classified this as TD 4 yet. Maybe at the next cycle...

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

I'd expect that. Clearly there is enough data to support it.

Clearly sheared (you can even see the naked swirl on IR), but clearly a TC.

While everyone's attention is on Bret...
1. Central Tropical Atlantic (AL93):
Showers and thunderstorms continue to show signs of organization
in association with the area of low pressure located about midway
between the west coast of Africa and the Lesser Antilles. If this
trend continues, a tropical depression could form as early as later
this morning while the system moves westward to west-northwestward
at 10 to 15 mph across the central tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...90 percent.

Still an invest as of the 06z update, despite fitting the criteria now for almost 24 hours

Re: ATL: FOUR - Tropical Depression - Discussion
By the looks of it it has upper our flow and rotation tucked in under the convection but the eastern side has no convective development due to dry air possibly.
