It's been tracking significantly south than forecast. Hard not to see this coming ashore much south rather than just brushing the northeastern tip Luzon!

If this current movement doesn't change, Usagi would slam into coastal Isabela instead of the northeastern tip of Cagayan.

Hints of an impending EWRC also starting to show up on the lower levels (37 GHz scan). That pinhole eye would have to go away sooner or later.
Eye has also cooled on latest IR satellite frames likely due to impending EWRC.

Looks like it's past it's peak now. Think 130kts peak is way too low, was probably well into Cat 5 range. Hopefully we'll get a post season upgrade.
