WIth landfall about 6 to 7 hours away, we will see if the storm has peaked at 75 mph or if it makes a run for 85 mph. I think if it looked more organized on satellite, getting a bit stronger would be obvious, but at this point we don't know if it will have time or not. Still, the winds aren't the Big factor anyway, it's the crazy amounts of rain expected.

Yep. I first noticed as well around 3 or 4. Just brought the effects that much closer to Pinellas. I think we'll be well over 10 inches of rain wjen its said and done and the wind is far more than I thought.

TWC just reported a water rescue in Pinellas County.

Who ever puts this graphic together needs a serious tongue lashing. For some reason this graphic from wunderground is ALWAEYS like 10 mph lower than what the storm is. Must be a coding error or something, but it's always wrong.

Also, it's looking more obvious that Debbie will have 2 landfalls.

Water rescues going on in Largo at apartment complex. The flooding is bad here. Can't remember a time where 10 inches of rain has dropped in 12 hours or so. I fear with 2 am high tide that storm surge is going to get worse.

It's pretty clear there is nothing there to hit the western side of the cone. Fairly easy to tell when so close to land. It's definitely taking the eastern solution.

Yea I'm really worried about the catastrophic flooding that's likely to come as a result of Debbie. It's going to be in the news for quite some time.

true that. i also think the NHC and others are correctly tracking path of the blob of destructive wind gales and convection not some elongated misleading eye of no real consequnce in the traditional manner. ragged? more bedraggled!

Definitely gonna see more of this during the season unfortunately. Kinda worried to see what we’ll be at on the 26th.

Also, looks like the new burst is trying to to form the eyewall again, and recon seems to be finding higher winds near the center (which has dropped a bit to ~985).

Just had some of the strongest gusts yet. The tail is nasty. Wonder what the lower lying areas will look like tomorrow. Can’t remember getting this much rain in a day. Maybe Hurricane Jeanne . Got parked under her tail back in 2004 and street flooded right up to the garage.

Almost seems like they used the number for knots but labeled it mph

Looks like dual hot towers now. Finally closed off that dry gap to the SE.

I was going to make a topic a while ago on how Wunderground's hurricane archive is only updated to 2018! Crazy. Reminds me of good old Unisys.
