New recon update, down to 999.5 mb so far. The plane is about 90 miles or 150 km removed from the center, should reach it within 2 more 10-minute updates.

yes but last couple frames seem to be correcting a bit back but still gonna miss the forecast point

I mentioned this several pages back but no one appeared to have seen it. When you look at the history of Milton’s track thus far it has done these significant wobbles back and forth. This time it was to the East and south a bit, in the past it’s been to the north. There’s so much energy in this storm that it seems to be pulsing in and out of the path. More than I’ve seen others we’ve tracked in the past 10 or so years that I can think of. When I looked at the NHC cone, it was within 24 hours before we had even somewhat of an idea that it would pass so close to the Yucatan. I think we’ll be rightfully wobble watching up through landfall and maybe even after landfall (Some models have indicated some wobbles inland.) I don’t envy the job our Mets at the NHC have right now.

All the pressure drops people are talking about and it's only going to increase 5 mph? that doesn't seem right.

I'm gonna guess 910mb, 150kts. It's a very impressive look, but its very hard to go sub 900 without a pinhole eye.

Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

I only missed it last time by I think about 3 mb... thinking it will take time for the winds to catch up with the pressure... I just wanted to be the outlier just in case since no one else was... going to find out soon though

Location: 22.7°N 87.5°W
Moving: ENE at 9 mph
Min pressure: 918 mb
