I liked how he was talking to a guy who was boating down the street.

The ENTIRE Wakulla County coast is still very much underwater. We experienced a 9 foot storm surge this morning... only recently has the water begun to receed. Highest surge experienced, I believe, since Kate in 1985.

Quite a bit of structual and personal damage due to the coastal flooding will come out of Wakulla County..

Thanks for the concern... They're fine. The weather conditions never got worse than tropical storm (55 mph gust was the max recorded here)... only problem was from the storm surge... their house is on 'stilts', so the water level wasn't a problem.. they actually enjoyed the day, other than my dad's new truck being ruined by the salt water... they told me that they took some awesome photos and videos of the flooding.

The video on CNN was absolutely amazing. Just another example of how you can be far away from the center and still feel major impacts.

So sad for so many there. The oyster industry is going to be so devastated. I was just in St. Marks last year and it seemed like such a nice little old time fishing village sad that they are going to be so hurt by a hurricane that made land fall 300 miles away. They are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow.
