Starting to light snow here.
Where is here? You say Big D is your location and that's a big area.

Ice on road factor in fatal accident
February 03, 2011 10:00 PM
Icy conditions were a factor in a fatal accident Thursday night in Port Arthur.
The accident happened about 8pm at Twin City Highway and Highway 136.
Investigators say several vehicles collided due to ice on the road.
A 43-year-old woman from Bridge City died in the wreck.
The victim's name has not yet been released.

Where about in Richardson are you? I'm just east of UTD in the Canyon Creek neighborhood. Seems like it will take some time for the air to saturate. The closest reporting station by me is reporting 23.7 degrees with a dewpoint of 7. 49% humidity. That seems awfully dry for a sky that is expected to produce snow in the next hour.Dallasaggie01 wrote:Nothing in Richardson/ ne Dallas yet. NWS forecast changed from up to one inch tonight, to 1-3 and up to one more fri am.

Quite impressive, what moisture is causing it? Does real cold air like we have tend to make it snow more?

Guys, use the base radar function instead of composite since the air is not moist yet, it's better for depicting events like this since the air is so dry.
