Just got here in Pearland with a north wind now. Got no rain down here maybe a .10 of a inch. I would not say that Tropical weather is over just yet. Got to watch these fronts for awhile and until the GOM cools some. Still plenty warm down there.

oh, ok. lol. I wasn't sure.

but yeah, those gusty winds were weird. Seems like they were isolated to my immediate area. They were probably reaching 40mph in gusts for 5-10 minutes or so. Pretty odd.

I wonder why those rains just suddenly fizzled out. When I saw it on radar, it looked very menacing and impressive.

Big bust up here in Conroe also with not even a quarter of an inch in my rain gauge. Like I said before, these hyped up events usually don't pan out. It's the ones that sneek up on us that get my attention. It seems to always work out that way.

We got a huge 0.02" in Spring Branch. I didn't watch it all closely, but my guess is some dry air got entrained into the SW as it was moving along the front. Sure did look menacing when it all started out yesterday morning.

Got a little more than an inch in north Austin from the event ... so this is one of those rare occasions when we received more rain than our Houston-area friends did.

You need it a lot more than we do in this area too.

I'm still in Brownwood and we got some rain on Sunday, but not nearly as much as anticipated. They needed a lot more! I think it was officially .23" but that's still better than nothing as they're in a horrible drought here and will take what they can get. Too bad it wasn't the huge rain even they expected though.

I read on here that the storms fizzled in the Houston area, but I guess they didn't fizzle or as much for Beaumont? My dad is in Beaumont and said they had some really bad storms early Monday.
