What I'm really looking forward to is the MCS that will probably come through here later tonight as 6Speed mentioned. Though I'm a little concerned that it will be damaging when it gets here as we still have ~3750 J/kg of instability as of the 00z OUN sounding.

I'd expect that cape to fall off by 2500ish or 2000ish by the time the MCS rolls through. However thats still a moderate amount of instability.

I see ! Hm, i hope so. Yesterday at noon ( CET ) there were so Tornado warnings still in effect...

We indeed were very surprised, as the Tornado lashed the harbour. Even my girlfriend got stuck in a tram...

Yes very easy to maintain severe limits. LI's are still pretty high too so the MCS will probably pack a punch.

Back to Moderate Risk for tonight. I wouldn't be surprised to see a High Risk for tomorrow, although it remains a difficult forecast. It could go either way - total bust or massive outbreak/derecho.

I got the demo version of GRLevel3 for the month of May; I may buy it later this summer if I get enough extra money stored up. It's amazing even though I have to use a map (in order to pinpoint) to get my area covered (I am just inside the reaches of the northernmost radar screens).

I got the demo version of GRLevel3 for the month of May; I may buy it later this summer if I get enough extra money stored up. It's amazing even though I have to use a map (in order to pinpoint) to get my area covered (I am just inside the reaches of the northernmost radar screens).

GRLevel3 is a nice investment. I tried out the demo from the March 12th event though to the early april Events, and once it ran out, I purchased it straight away. However, now I'm a bit more clued up, I kinda wish I went for GRLevel2. It doesn't have all the fancy TVS and meso symbols, and the non Analyst Edition misses VIL, storm rain totals etc, but being higher resolution is nice. I'll probably solve that issue by getting level 2 also though I can get the best of both worlds by running both programs simultaneously

It's been pretty good, although I can't smoothen it as my computer isn't hyper-powerful. I like being able to see the shear and hail size...

GR2Analyst is the only one that does 3D right? THe regular GR2 doesn't...at least not according to their site.

The basic one allows 2d vertical slices through storms, but the full 3d is only in GRL2AE
