Now I'm trying to look for coverage from central Missouri, since the action is starting to shift...

WindRunner wrote:I'd have a pic of a tornado over Fulton, KS uploaded by now if imageshack was working, but it isn't, so you'll have to take my word that it looked classic and still does, as it is currently E of Hume, MO and has a TVS with a low base. The one to the north in Cass County appears to be much larger, though I'm not sure about stronger.

Got it now - note: this isn't real-time, this particular cell appears to be a little stronger and is about half a county further east now, to the north of Rich Hill (look on the map :darrow: ) and radar indicates max hail size 3.5"

Sort of off-topic to what is going on in KS/MO...

I still have yet to figure out why they issued Watch #74... especially making it PDS.

I live just north of downtown KC...right around the county border of SE Platte and SW Clay county. We got the hail core, but before it really started coming down, I saw the outside edges of, what looked like a wall cloud, to my immediate south. This is probably the area, as it was tracking off the NE, that was regenerating the wall cloud and formed the funnel cloud.

And from the looks of it, we in KC, are probably no where near all clear for the day. Gotta keep an eye on Eastern Kansas development....

West-Central MO tornado warnings extended to 4:15 pm (at least)...too bad it is more difficult to get coverage in rural areas. Hopefully they'll break down before they reach St. Louis area (probably around dinner time at this rate), but I'm not counting on it.

Rural areas have far fewer and more widespread webcams - we no longer have the "luxury" of the city webcams as opposed to when these cells were over Kansas City.

One of them produced the 6th tornado of the day. I think this is an all-nighter again...
