F 2 strikes german Remagen-Father dead, 8yo son injured

F1-F2 strikes town in western germany.

23.08.2006 Western Germany. 1 dead. Victim and campingtrailer-debris carried 60 yds. in harbour. Son injured.

The truck was loaded with 5 tons. It was moved 4 meters, officials say.

And I thought the strong storms in Hutchins, TX was bad on Wednesday Night.

Hi,

at first: it was not Remagen, but a small village called Brohl-Lützing, near Andernach. There were two tonadoes, one F1 with one death in this village (last three pictures) and a F2 about 10 kilometers to the east (other pictures).

I just mentioned Remagen for those who are not that experienced in german cities and picked out next bigger town. I referred to newspaper "Kölnerstadtanzeiger - http://www.ksta.de/html/artikel/1156224795085.shtml".

Good bit of Squall line action today again. One just moved over my city. Lots of up/down/rotating low cloud movements but nothing happened ... here ..
