She might even be trying to get her act back together after taking a beating this morning from dry air.

Thanks. I think there will be a noticable vacancy on the part of some, however. Grodynamic processes kept them going in a straight line :)

Vigilance in regards to a storm is okay. Be ready...then be thankful when it doesn't head your way.

I wouldn't be so sure its on the definitive NW/NNW move. The eye of this system is obsured by blowoff clouds and if it kept the alledged 310 motion I think shes off the coast for the life cycle. She's pretty much in a stall right now with a WNW drift IMO. Once she gets spun up again (another 3 hours) I believe a WNW motion will resume for another 18 hours, then a NW turn. The shortwave that is to steer her northward is coming into the Pacific NW now. If she stalls out long enuf, she may not see the east coast at all. Let's hope so anyhow. Cheers!!

Hey cyclone...that is what I was thinkng earlier. The storm appears to be in a transition mode from an annular to a classic structure. There is cooling tops in the eastern quad now and the western eyewall is filling in.

What I would want people to learn from all of this is: Don't forecast 3 days from now by what you see in the last 3 hours. Little wobbles happen and storms pulse up and down. You can't take a nowcast and turn it into a 72-120 hour forecast. So many people were nailing the lid into Isabel's coffin this morning because of her poor satellite appearance when all she was doing was restructuring herself from a large eye to a small one. A storm can't do that without some pain. When she gets up there and touches the westerlies and her outflwo has access to the jet stream...and the gulfstream waters...she won't be a cat 5...and probably not a cat 4...but a strong 3 is possible and a 3 is likley. Luckily she will be moving fast.

I have to admit that I did doubt the turn about 3-4 days ago.. ( I did not state it on here just to myself) However, once the pros were saying she is going to turn, I really felt much better & now she is turning! I want to say thanks to all the pros & everyone else that kept their heads & were patient will me & other Floridians.. you guys are the best!
