At this point, it really doesn't matter what it's classified as, it's going to cause flooding problems along the gulf coast. It's been raining for 48 hours straight here and should continue until tomorrow. According to the forecast track, the "center" should most right over me, so I guess that's good news as the convection is to the east of the center. The center should give us a break from the monsoon like rains we've been getting. The bayous finally went down a little but are expected to come back up for a while tonight. MS/AL should be getting the rains now too. Winds shouldn't really be a problem, just like a breezy with occasional gust. It's been that way here all day today and the storm is still well south in the GOM. So call it Matthew, call it extratropical, call it Jo Schmoe from Cocomoe, just push it on out so we can finally get into fall.
