The 0zGFS is showing this becoming a legit tropical system at least a mid range tropical storm, may need to keep an eye on it as it nears the Lesser Antilles

This system also seems to be popping convection and maintaining it also which means this may develop instead of the wave near Africa

FWIW the 00z CMC doesn't have anything still. So I'm assuming the 00z Euro wont have anything since theyve been closely following each other this season.

GFS is just throwing darts at every disturbance on the hopes that it gets one right. Don't see support from any other model at the moment.

We will know pretty quickly if the GFS is on to anything as it starts to develop this in just 48 or so hours

Won’t develop if that TUTT is not budging. It will shear it to pieces.

The problem that I see is not so much with windshear is more with the fact that it is surrounded by still a fairly dryer than average Atlantic MDR. It will be hard to keep the dry air away from it.

Vis satellite loop this morning shows a couple of vorticities embedded in this area.
