Yes, after writing I saw it on the 11:00 pm news, but they certainly do not seem to be making a big deal out of it (have not heard it from anybody except on the news). I would imagine (like most storms) they are suggesting evacuation of anyone on Bogue Banks, low areas and those in moble homes.
This morning is really nice. Still feels cooler then normal. We did get some really hard rain last night, but the highest gust I had was about 16 mph (this is a little blocked by some trees, but fairly open on my roof). In the past few days I have had gusts of 25-30 mph. But we will see what the next few days bring...

Hey Robert... yeah, actually it is pretty warm out there now when the sun is out. I think we are gonna get the winds around 10am or so tomorrow and not letting up much till thursday... which is gonna push a whole lotta water around in down east carteret county. The kids I teach live to cedar island, atlantic, sea level, etc... many just finished rebuilding after losing everything in Isabel.

Hi weatherwoman... i was out on the pier last night too. I just came from across the causeway over in atlantic beach... the kite store there has a pretty decent weather station... winds were staying around 20-22 mph and really not many gusts at all yet.
