This IR shot clearly shows a well developed system:

Yeah, I agree it is gradually strengthening, although not too quickly, yet it has a rather large "eye". Also, it appears to have veered more westerly per the latest satellite loops. Well, it that's the case, then it appears the marked NW jog that took place today is just about over. I would expect a more WNW tonight. It probably won't reach 16.0N until tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the wave behind Isabel appears to have developed a convective cluster just to the SE of the "center". It looks like it is very well developed and TD 14 at 11pm is a good bet, IMO.

If TD #14 forms soon what, if any, impact would it have on Isabel?

I'm not really sure, what, if any impact will have on Isabel? I think they are rather far apart and any impact should be minimal. It appears the wave behind Isabel is moving slower than Isabel is because the steering currents are even weaker over the E. Atlantic, so that would increase the distance between the two.

What appears more likely is that if Isabel develops some VERY impressive outflow and LARGE envelope, it could affect Juan with some shear just like Gustav in 1996.

Isabel and the system off africa are apart some 900 miles so no big impact will happen between the 2 systems.
