Note the tiny eye beginning to re-form. Contrary to what Dr. Lyons is saying, I think it is a sign of impending intensification. May see a 10mb+ pressure drop in the next 24 hours.

Wow, those space station pics are truly breathtaking, thanks for that link! It says the pics are taken with a digital camera with 180mm lens, now why can't they put one of those on one of the weather satellites? Some type of military "national security" garbage?wxman57 wrote:Here's mine, first:

Actually, we do have a high-res camera taking pictures daily. But such low Earth orbit satellites are not like the GOES satellites - they orbit about once each 90 minutes. So there's only a narrow window to snap images.Take a look at the latest shots of Isabel:
