The waiting game continues
Well we are now passed mid july and nothing has developed even a tropical depression although some may argue that the low pressure that caused that tragic event in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in late may was a TD.As we wait for the mid latitud pattern to move more north as it normally does every summer we will see some blobs, naked swirls, some invests up and model scenarios with hope that one of those may be our first TD and TS of the season. As august rolls in in a couple of weeks for sure things will be in place for the season to get going but folks not every hurricane season is the same because in many of the pasts seasons the first storm has formed in early to mid august and from that point those seasons haved been fairly active with the 1992 season which started late with Andrew but as it was an el nino season it was not the above average season like 1998 was when the first storm formed at july 28 and it took off from there and we know how active it was 14 named storms. So be patient as the time will come when we will be following not one but several systems at one time when the peak of the season arrives so hang there guys.

Any replies for my thread about the truth about waiting for the first storm? I know that some who wish every blob develops and not have patience will not replie here.

It is normal what is going not seeing anything develop thru mid july. Now if this inactivity continues thru late august or early september then it is cataloged as unusual to have the first storm forming by then.
